The Greatest Generations Foundation Stories of Remembrances records and produces programming based on the veteran's accounts of their war experiences. These interviews go beyond the usual dates and places treatment of history. They offer a unique, personal view of all facets of war experience, often with details that will fascinate even serious students of history. In many cases, the veterans interviewed by the foundation have not related their experiences publicly before, sometimes, not even to their own families. The mission is not just to document memories, but the path they have taken to reconnect memories in the present day context. The Project collects first-hand accounts of Veterans from World War I (1914-1920), World War II (1939-1946), the Korean War (1950-1955), the Vietnam War (1961-1975), the Persian Gulf War (1990-1995), and the Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts (2001-present).
